Yes! Mrs. Angies's Farm Fresh honey is not heated or filtered. We only strain our honey during the bottling process to remove bee particles while leaving pollen grains and other beneficial properties.
One incredible quality of honey is it’s shelf life. If honey has crystallized, it has not gone bad! The sign of crystallization is actually a good thing. Once honey is heated past 140, it slows down crystallization time dramatically but it also destroys beneficial properties in the process. We do not heat Mrs. Angie's Farm Fresh Honey in order to maintain natural benefits. If Mrs. Angie's Farm Fresh Honey begins to crystallize, just keep in mind that it ensures that our honey is a raw, unfiltered product.
To re-liquify honey, simply place the container in warm water for about 15 minutes. Once warmed, the honey will return to a liquid state. Do not microwave honey.
Mrs. Angie's Farm Fresh Honey is a specially curated wildflower honey made by our hives in Arkansas. Our honey's distinctive flavor comes from native wildflower nectar and is then crafted by our honeybees. It is also raw and unfiltered which is drastically different than highly processed, heated, and micro-filtered store bought honey. These processes dramatically decrease health benefits and decrease crystallization time.
Honey harvests vary from year to year. Differences in temperature and weather conditions greatly affect the final product of our honey. While Mrs. Angie's Farm Fresh Honey originates from the same locations year after year, small variances in weather cause each harvest to be slightly different from the last.
Unlike many other honey companies, we only use honey that comes straight from our own hives located in Arkansas. This eliminates multiple unknowns of where the honey originated from and the processes the honey has undergone. We maintain complete control from the time honey is harvested from our hives to your home and it is a promise we will continue to keep!
